What are dermal fillers for the cheek?

At CURRENT, we utilize the following dermal fillers for cheek augmentation: Restylane® Lyft™ or Juvederm® Voluma™, due to their excellent supportive properties. What should I expect from the treatment?

To ensure your comfort during the procedure, we begin by applying a topical numbing cream to the area. During the appointment, small quantities of filler will be strategically injected along the cheekbone, working to contour and lift the mid-face from within. This process can also replenish volume in the apples of your cheeks, reducing the appearance of nasolabial folds and tear troughs.

Cheek filler appointments are brief and virtually painless, typically lasting around 45 minutes. Minimal downtime is required, but as with any injection, swelling and potential bruising may occur. Results typically endure for up to 12 months, though individual outcomes may vary. ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣

Before and after

Before your treatment, we kindly request that you refrain from consuming caffeine, anti-inflammatory drugs, and blood-thinners, if feasible, to minimize the risk of bruising/swelling. Our HA injectable sessions are typically 30-60 minutes, numbing time included.⁣ There is minimal downtime following the treatment, but we advise against strenuous exercise for the remainder of the day and recommend avoiding facials/massages of the area for 2 weeks. Applying ice to the area may aid in comfort and reduce swelling in the first 24 hours. It may take up to two weeks to see final results without swelling/bruising, so we suggest waiting the full two weeks before scheduling a follow-up appointment.
