What should I expect?

Jaw and chin enhancements involve the use of dermal fillers like Voluxe, Restylane Refyne, and Restylane Defyne. During the procedure, small amounts of filler are strategically injected at various points along the jawline, altering its contours by filling the skin from within. The outcome is a more prominent and well-defined jawline or chin. This process is swift and nearly painless, requiring minimal downtime. As with any injection, some swelling and bruising may occur. Actual results may differ for each individual.

How long will my results last?

The duration of results is influenced by various factors, including the patient’s age, metabolism, regular exercise routine, and facial blood flow. For instance, younger individuals with faster metabolisms and increased facial blood flow may metabolize filler more rapidly compared to older individuals. Additionally, the longevity of filler varies depending on the treated area. Jaw and chin fillers typically last around 12 months. Each filler product has its unique formulation, contributing to differences in longevity. It’s important to note that individual results will always vary. ⁣

Before and after

Before your treatment, we kindly request that you refrain from consuming caffeine, anti-inflammatory drugs, and blood-thinners, if feasible, to minimize the risk of bruising and/or swelling. Our HA injectable sessions are typically 30-60 minutes, numbing time included.⁣ There is minimal downtime following the treatment but we advise against strenuous exercise for the remainder of the day and recommend avoiding facials and/or massages of the area for 2 weeks. Applying ice to the area may aid in comfort and reduce swelling in the first 24 hours. It may take up to two weeks to see final results without swelling and/or bruising, so we suggest waiting the full two weeks before scheduling a follow-up appointment.
