What is the CURRENT Signature Lip Flip?

The CURRENT Med Spa Signature Lip Flip is an ideal choice for those new to lip enhancement treatments, offering a gentle introduction. This treatment increases the “pink lip” show with a few units of Botox™, relaxing the muscles around the mouth. While filler adds volume to the lips, injecting Botox™ above the vermilion border (the lip line) results in a “flip” effect, subtly rolling the lip up and outward to create a fuller, more pouty appearance. What is the downtime?

Lip injections commonly result in swelling that typically subsides within 48 hours. While we take every precaution to minimize the likelihood of bruising, it may still occur and should be anticipated. Individual recovery times may vary, but there are steps you can take to facilitate the healing process.

Before your treatment

Before your toxin treatment, we kindly request that you refrain from consuming caffeine, anti-inflammatory drugs, and blood-thinners, if feasible, to minimize the risk of bruising. Our Botox and Dysport sessions are typically swift, lasting between 15 to 30 minutes, with numbing. There is minimal downtime following the treatment, but we advise against strenuous exercise for the remainder of the day and recommend avoiding tight-fitting hats, facials, or massages for two weeks. No laying down for 3 hours post injection. It may take up to two weeks for the product to take full effect, so we suggest waiting the full two weeks before scheduling a touch-up appointment.
