Halo®

What is Halo®?

The Halo® Laser by Sciton is a revolutionary hybrid fractional laser system designed to address a wide range of skin concerns and provide comprehensive skin rejuvenation. It combines two laser wavelengths, ablative and non-ablative, into a single device, allowing for customized treatments tailored to individual skin types and concerns. The ablative wavelength targets deeper layers of the skin to stimulate collagen production, reduce wrinkles, and improve skin texture. It also removes damaged skin cells, promoting the growth of healthier, younger-looking skin. On the other hand, the non-ablative wavelength targets issues closer to the surface of the skin such as acne scarring and surface texture issues.

What concerns can be treated with Halo®?

  • Improve appearance of fine lines/wrinkles
  • Reduce appearance of pores Scarring Skin rejuvenation
  • Texture issues Improve skin elasticity
  • Skin discoloration
  • Overall better quality of skin

What is the treatment like?

For your Halo® treatment, a laser technician will start by applying topical numbing cream to the clients face, leaving it on for one full hour to ensure proper numbing. During the treatment, it is not uncommon for the skin to turn red and even experience some pinpoint bleeding. However, this will reside shortly after the treatment. Although we take the time to ensure the skin is numb, it is not uncommon for clients to experience a hot/warm sensation and mild discomfort. After the treatment, swelling should be expected and the skin will feel hot to the touch. For comfort, the client may apply an ice-pack or a cold compress.

Two to three days after the procedure, the client may notice tiny dark spots on the surface of the skin. These are tiny pieces of tissue called MENDS, and are normal after laser treatment. As the skin regenerates, they will disappear. Depending on the aggressiveness of the treatment and the client’s concerns, peeling and/or flaking may occur which can cause itchiness or dryness. Clients will continue to see improvement in their skin up to 3 months after treatment as the skin’s natural healing process continues and collagen production increases. Depending on the specific skin concerns and treatment goals, the client may require multiple Halo® treatment sessions spaced several weeks or months apart to achieve desired results. A licensed healthcare provider will recommend a personalized treatment plan based on individual needs.
