What can be treated with Nano/Micro Laser Peel?

Resurfacing procedures involve downtime, but due to their aggressive nature, Nano and Micro Laser Peels can produce significant improvements. Our laser technicians possess expertise in addressing various concerns across all areas of the body, including:

  • Skin texture
  • Pigmentation
  • Fine lines & wrinkles
  • Lax skin
  • Pore size
  • Scarring/acne scarring

What is the treatment like?

Sessions for Nano/Micro Laser Peel resurfacing typically last about an hour, depending on the treated area. Topical numbing cream is applied to minimize discomfort during the procedure. Immediately following treatment, you may experience redness, texture changes, and mild swelling in the treated area, resembling a sunburn with a red or brownish tint, which is a normal part of the healing process and usually resolves within a few days.

During the downtime period, your skin may remain compromised and appear red or pink. It’s important to avoid makeup, sun exposure, exercise, and excessive heat during this time. Redness can persist for 2-7 days, followed by sloughing and peeling of the skin. Total healing typically takes 5-7 days, though preparation for the full 7 days should be taken. You will be provided with a gentle cleanser and a post-procedure healing balm after your treatment.

Getting ready for your procedure:

Pre-care:

  • Laser treatments cannot be done on tanned (including tanning beds and self-tan) and/or sun-burned skin. If you are anticipating a laser treatment, please avoid any form of tanning two weeks prior to your procedure.
  • Avoid the use of any vitamin A products one week before treatment.
  • Avoid waxing or use of depilatories (hair removal creams) in the treatment area for one week prior to your appointment.
  • You will be given a prescription medication to take beginning the day before your procedure. The purpose of this medication is to decrease your risk of getting a flare-up after your laser treatment.
  • Inform your technician if you have ANY allergies, including medications.
  • This laser treatment can be performed on all skin types, though consultation with one of our technicians is recommended first.

Post-care:

  • A post-care kit will be given to you after treatment, including products to heal your skin and directions on how to use them. You must follow all instructions carefully to ensure proper healing and optimal results.
  • You will have some redness and/or swelling after your treatment. This is an expected result and is nothing to worry about. Tylenol and/or Benadryl may be used to reduce post-treatment discomfort and swelling.
  • You can expect tightness, itching, or flaking after treatment – the post-care kit will help with this.
  • DO NOT pick at your face, as this may cause bleeding or scarring. Any “grid-like” patterns on the skin will disappear over time.
  • Avoid sun exposure for at least 14 days after your treatment. Excessive sun exposure during this time could cause changes in the healing of new skin. Always use a sunscreen broad-spectrum SPF of 30 or higher, reapplying every two hours if you are outside.

Forever Young BBL: During this BBL Light treatment, the light energy is directed into the deeper layers of the skin to stimulate your skin’s natural healing and regeneration process, leading to youthful skin.

Forever Clear BBL: During this treatment, the BBL device produces three levels of light energy to clear acne. The blue BBL light eliminates the bacteria responsible for the acne. BBL therapy also treats Rosacea, a rare and painful condition that leads to visible blood vessels, redness, irritation, and the formation of pus-filled acne and sores. BroadBand Light can treat the skin on any part of your body, but it’s generally used for the most visible parts of your body — face, chest, and hands.
