SkinPen Microneedling with PRP (Plasma Rich Platelet)

SkinPen Microneedling with PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) combines the powerful collagen-stimulating effects of microneedling with the added benefit of using your own blood’s growth factors. This enhances the skin’s natural ability to regenerate, promoting new cell and collagen growth for smoother, more youthful-looking skin. By adding PRP to the SkinPen treatment, you get enhanced results with slightly less downtime compared to traditional microneedling, making it a great option for those looking for faster recovery while achieving beautiful, lasting skin improvements.

Before your treatment

  • Receiving a chemical peel or microdermabrasion two weeks before your SkinPen microneedling session can aid in softening and exfoliating the epidermis, promoting natural collagen production for enhanced treatment effectiveness. While not mandatory, this preparation is recommended.
  • For individuals planning to undergo Botox/Dysport/Xeomin injections, it’s advisable to wait at least two weeks after the injections before scheduling a microneedling procedure. Conversely, if opting for injections after SkinPen microneedling, it’s preferable to wait until the skin has fully healed.
  • If you are taking medications such as blood thinners, fish oil, aspirin, or tend to bleed easily, please inform your technician beforehand. Consult your physician regarding the discontinuation of medication before each SkinPen microneedling treatment.
  • Consider using Arnica supplements before and after the procedure to reduce bruising and swelling. This can be purchased at health food stores and should be taken 24 hours before the treatment and continued for 3 days afterward.
  • Before the SkinPen microneedling procedure, a topical numbing agent is typically applied to the treatment area. Inform your technician of any lidocaine allergies before your treatment. Although every step is taken to reduce pain during the treatment, some clients report mild discomfort.
  • Inform your technician of any allergies or history of cold sores, as preventive measures such as antiviral medication may be provided before treatment.

What are my options with Broadband Light?

Forever Young BBL: During this BBL Light treatment, the light energy is directed into the deeper layers of the skin to stimulate your skin’s natural healing and regeneration process, leading to youthful skin.

Forever Clear BBL: During this treatment, the BBL device produces three levels of light energy to clear acne. The blue BBL light eliminates the bacteria responsible for the acne. The yellow BBL light reduces inflammation and redness. Finally, the infrared light initiates your body’s natural healing process to ensure clear skin without side effects.

BBL Light Hero provides various procedures to target different skin conditions, allowing you to treat freckles, age spots, loss of firmness, acne, visible blood vessels, facial veins, and unwanted hair growth. BBL therapy also treats Rosacea, a rare and painful condition that leads to visible blood vessels, redness, irritation, and the formation of pus-filled acne and sores. BroadBand Light can treat the skin on any part of your body, but it’s generally used for the most visible parts of your body — face, chest, and hands.
